HarperFiction UK has launched Killing It: The Killer Reads Competition, a contest for undiscovered crime writers. Writers submit the first 10,000 words of their crime, thriller, or suspense novel, but the book should be complete or nearly so, as full manuscripts may be requested. A synopsis and brief bio are also required. Only UK residents are eligible; HarperCollins UK reserves the right to first refusal on the winning entries and the right to offer publishing contracts to winners. Any publishing contracts offered will remain separate from the competition. It’s free to enter.
