Simon & Schuster exceeded $1 billion in sales for the first time ever in 2022—an increase of 18.5 percent over the prior year. The last three years, in fact, have seen record results for the publisher. According to NPD BookScan, Simon & Schuster was the only one of the Big Five to increase print sales last year. Audio grew the fastest, followed by international sales, and the company has hired about 100 people since 2020. We hope that Simon & Schuster is taking very good care of Colleen Hoover, whose latest books were published with Atria, a Simon & Schuster imprint.
