Audiobook royalty rates come under scrutiny in the UK

Agents are urging publishers to offer a greater share of audiobook royalties beyond the standard 25 percent net (the same as ebooks). The president of UK’s Association of Authors’ Agents, Isobel Dixon, says, “I don’t believe that what many might cite as ‘standard’ for digital formats is calibrated well enough to be truly fair remuneration for the creators of the work.” Read at The Bookseller.
