Every January 1, a new batch of copyrighted works enters the public domain. For 2026, those works will be from the year 1930 and include the first four Nancy Drew novels, William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying, Dashiell Hammett’s The Maltese Falcon, Agatha Christie’s The Murder at the Vicarage, and more.
