Chill Subs, a website directory to find publishing opportunities especially in the literary and nonprofit community, has announced a grant program. Five literary magazines will be selected to receive $1,000 in funding. The key question that drives selection: “Do you believe you can make your lit mag financially sustainable within one year? If yes, tell us your plan.” This plan must factor in payment for writers and staff, and the publication can’t rely solely on contests or submissions fees. Applications will be accepted through Sept. 1. All literary magazines—even those not yet in existence—are welcome to apply. Learn more.
