Closing image: YA fiction sales have grown in 2021, driven by an influential community of book readers on TikTok rather than big-name releases. Backlist titles that have been widely shared and promoted on TikTok include They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera and We Were Liars by E. Lockhart.
