Textbook publisher McGraw Hill is hoping to appeal to the TikTok generation with its new learning app, Sharpen. The app walks students through textbook material using bite-sized, entertaining videos that play in rapid succession. Every eight minutes, the videos are interspersed with short, gamified quizzes. The app is currently free and offers 18 courses on various subjects.
