Open Road Media, known for its digital marketing strength as well as its own backlist publishing program for ebooks, has acquired UK ebook publisher Bloodhound Books. Bloodhound was founded in 2014 and has a backlist of about 600 novels, with sales of six million copies worldwide. The Bloodhouse team, including the founders, will be incorporated into Open Road’s business. In a release, one of the founders said, “We needed to find a way to expand the business, from our audience reach to our marketing capabilities.”
